Fetish Glossary: Kink Terms from A to Z

Fetish clip listings run on shorthand. Producers squeeze a whole scene into a title of five or six words, and those words assume you already know the vocabulary. This A to Z of kink terms decodes the labels you are most likely to meet, in plain language and without graphic detail. Where two terms overlap, we say so; where a familiar word means something narrower in clip titles than in everyday speech, we flag that too.

A to F

Aftercare

The calm, caring time after an intense scene, when partners check in with each other. In clips it sometimes appears as a short closing segment, and its presence often signals a producer who takes consent seriously.

Amateur

Describes how a clip was made, not who is in it: home setting, simple camera, little or no editing. Not a quality judgement.

BDSM

An umbrella built from three pairs: bondage and discipline, dominance and obedience, sadism and masochism. In listings it is a broad bucket; the description tells you which part a clip actually covers.

Bondage

Restraint with rope, cuffs, tape or furniture. Some clips treat the tying itself as the main event, especially elaborate rope work.

Chastity

Wearing a locked device that prevents sexual contact, often for a set period, with a keyholder in charge. Chastity clips are frequently long-form, built around instructions or a schedule.

Custom

A clip made to one buyer’s written request. Priced higher than shop clips; see our guide to asking for a custom.

Dom, domme, mistress

The partner who leads. “Domme” and “mistress” specify a woman in that role. The partner who follows is called the bottom or the receiving partner.

Edging

Repeatedly approaching a climax and stopping just before it. Often paired with instruction clips and with tease and denial.

Facesitting

One partner sits over the other’s face. In femdom listings it is mostly about position and power rather than explicit action, and many clips are shot from the lower partner’s point of view.

Femdom

Female domination: a woman leads the scene. The largest single corner of most fetish catalogues, covering everything from purely verbal clips to elaborate roleplays.

Findom

Financial domination. The dynamic centres on money: gifts, tributes and the thrill of paying. Clips in this corner are typically talk-to-camera and tend to be short.

Foot fetish

Interest in feet, toes, soles and footwear. Listings often split into bare feet, nylons, heels and boots.

G to P

Giantess

A fantasy of size difference, achieved with camera angles, props and editing. Mostly playful and visual.

JOI

Short for “jerk-off instruction”: a performer talks directly to the viewer and gives step-by-step directions. Usually filmed point-of-view, heavy on voice.

Latex

Thin natural rubber, worn as catsuits, gloves and stockings. Valued for shine and tightness. Not the same as PVC, which is coated fabric and does not squeak.

Limits

Hard limits are things a person will not do at all; soft limits are things they might, with care. Producers often list theirs for custom work.

OTK

Over the knee: spanking with the receiving partner lying across the lap. Usually hand-only and domestic in tone.

Pegging

A woman uses a strap-on with a male partner. In listings it is usually tagged clearly, with the receiving role named in the title.

POV

Point of view: the camera stands in for the viewer, who is addressed as if present. Common in femdom, JOI and foot clips.

Power exchange

The agreed handing-over of control from one partner to another for the length of a scene. The thread that runs through most dominance-themed content.

R to Z

Roleplay

A scripted scenario with characters: boss and employee, landlady and tenant, nurse and patient. Always between adults, always pretend.

Safeword

A pre-agreed word that stops a scene at once. Mentioned in many BDSM clips, and a good sign of a careful producer.

Spanking and caning

Impact play with hand, paddle or cane. Caning is the strictest and most ritualised form; strokes are often counted aloud.

Switch

Someone who enjoys both leading and following, depending on partner or mood.

Tease and denial

Building anticipation while withholding release. Closely related to chastity and edging.

Tribute

A payment or gift sent to a performer as part of a findom dynamic, as distinct from simply buying a clip.

Verbal

A clip carried by talking rather than action. Language tags matter enormously here.

WAM

Wet and messy: slime, mud, food or water meeting clothes and skin. Sploshing is the food-specific version.

Worship

Devoted attention to one part of a partner or their clothing — feet, boots, legs. Slow, close-up clips.

Using the glossary

Terms combine. “POV femdom JOI German language” tells you the camera angle, who leads, the format and the language in four words. Read titles that way and you will rarely buy the wrong clip.
